Pluses:

• Compact-Ease to use: This Eureka's compact design makes these vacuum cleaners very easy to move and carry around. Big wheels, easy to use switches and 270 degree swivel hose add to their user friendliness.They glide along the floor with little resistance.
• Mini Turbo Brush: .This attachment is included for FREE with this model vacuum cleaner. Use for deeper cleaning of upholstery, removing pet hair or on stairs.
• Quick Disconnect Wand: The electrical wires for the powerbrush are built into the wand making it easy to switch between the powerbrush and hand tools
• Carpet to bare floor: seamless transition from carpet to bare floor. No need to change tools.
• Bag Change Indicator: We LIKE knowing when to change the bag. Bags do not work so well after they are about half full and the temptation is to over fill them. When the bag indicator bar on the vacuum cleaner canister is completely filled in, it's time to change the bag.
• Non scratch wheels: These large wheels on these Eureka vacuum cleaner models are designed to go across even the most highly polished of hardwood floors without scratching.
• Easy to change filters: Lift up the lid, take out the old filter and snap in a new one. A 15 second job.
• Completely sealed HEPA motor system : Makes sure that the dust, dirt and allergens pulled into the vacuum stay in the vacuum cleaner. Not all vacuums are completely sealed although they seem to imply that.

Minuses:

• Not Telescopic Wand Construction: Two plastic wands are included with this model. We would prefer metal wands that are telescopic. But for this price range an electrified powerbrush with a wand with the wires hidden inside is a bonus not to be missed!
• Attachments: We find that the attachments on the Eureka vacuum cleaner are slightly harder to change than with the attachments on a Miele vacuum cleaner. The powerbrush attachment offered in their Oxygen vacuum cleaner line seems to be of a bit higher quality.
• Hose swivel: More expensive models in the Eureka line include a 360 degree swivel hose.
• Filter change indicator: This is another feature we would like but rarely find on a vacuum at this price point.
• The vacuum is noiser

Summary: Our congratulations to Eureka for producing powerful, full featured canister vacuum cleaners at a very mid range price. Eureka did their homework on this work in filling a niche in the market for power, quality and affordability.
